Owned and operated by Caroline Goodden, Food was designed and built largely by Matta-Clark, who also organized art events and performances there. Later, after generated copies began circulating amongst fans, the band began selling copies at shows. The tape is only available in VHS format. The file is available for download online in various outlets.
