Ottmar hands his Hamburg bakery to daughter Janina, retiring after 40 years with his wife to compatriot Beinle's fancy seniors residence in Pattaya, Thailand, which also provides private nursing as required. She waited decades to enjoy free time, exploring another culture - but he just wants rest, missing enterprise, while the demented retired judge Lobinger scares him. Tourist package deal groups host Max convinces Ottmar to finance, behind his wife's back (the spouses suspects each-other of an affair), a 'real German bakery', but once the contract is signed, the scammer disappears with all Ottmar's savings.
