The short movie tells the well known story by E.A.Poe about a murderer, who tries to persuade the readers/audience of his mental stability, while telling the tale of the brutish act of killing an old man. He denies that he suffers from mental illness and openly boasts of his cleverness and cunning behavior. He kills the man though he loves him, holds no grudges against him and murders without any motive. The movie works heavily with green screen and computer coloration to achieve interesting special effects with the real life actors and the environment.
The short is another adaptation of E.A.Poe's infamous tale and follows the descent into madness for the meticulous butler Manfred, whose sole focus in life is the care and comfort of his Master. When perfectionism turns into obsession, he pleads for understanding that he acts not out of madness, but through his most grievous fault. The story of redemption leads into the depths of a troubled soul for whom madness is just a matter of perspective.
