Deadlock(1969)
The murder of a journalist, coming shortly after the killings of a black teenager and a white cop, threatens to inflame passions in the city. That movie's star was Hugh's teenage son Buddy Joe Hooker, whose own subsequent, stellar stunt career inspired HOOPER (1978), Burt Reynolds' hit comedy tribute to movie stuntmen.
