Fourteen years after Third Impact, Shinji Ikari awakens to a world he does not remember. He hasn't aged. The characters' struggles continue amidst the battles against the angels and each other, spiraling down to what could inevitably be the end of the world.

The software used to make the movie is the free/open source animation suite Blender along with other open source software, thus allowing the movie to be remade, remixed and re-purposed with only a computer and the data on the DVD or download.
