Itoshi no Lahaina(ja)

The film depicts a couple who go on a trip to Hawaii to relieve their daily frustration and get caught up in various commotions. Written by Masakuni Takahashi ("Minatomachi Gentlemen's Record"), directed by Tomio Kuriyama (this was his first film), and photographed by Kosuke Yasuda. Theme song is by Davey Smith ("Itoshi no Lahaina").

Snowball Fight(fr)

Wintertime in Lyon. About a dozen people, men and women, are having a snowball fight in the middle of a tree-lined street. The cyclist coming along the road becomes the target of opportunity. He falls off his bicycle. He's not hurt, but he rides back the way he came, as the fight continues.

People(fr)

People is a film shot behind closed doors in a workshop/house on the outskirts of Paris and features a dozen characters. It is based on an interweaving of scenes of moaning and sex. The house is the characters' common space, but the question of ownership is distended, they don't all inhabit it in the same way. As the sequences progress, we don't find the same characters but the same interdependent relationships. Through the alternation between lament and sexuality, physical and verbal communication are put on the same level. The film then deconstructs, through its repetitive structure, our relational myths.

The Great American Bash (1989) was the fifth annual The Great American Bash professional wrestling event produced by WCW under the NWA banner and the second to be produced as a PPV event. It took place on July 23, 1989 at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. The main event was a standard wrestling match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Ric Flair defended the title against Terry Funk. Film about an unemployed, socially handicapped bachelor who lives in a very small world. For his birthday, his mother gives him a young dog. The touching pup brings about a pleasant change in his lonely life. But the growing up of the small dog forces him to make a radical choice.

Jean-Louis is an naive, amiable orphan who spent his life with his elderly and very strict grandfather. Jean-Louis was a 25-year old virgin when a free-spirited young Parisian woman was temporarily stranded in his village after a bus broke down. She left him a changed man, and she also left a match book from a fast food restaurant called Fast Burger. Soon after his grandfather passes away, the innocent rube Jean-Louis hops on his bike and embarks upon a quest to Paris to find this enigmatic woman. But he is not prepared for the size of Paris, and instead ends up working at a Fast Burger outlet himself. Jean-Louis is a simple soul and freely expresses himself without guile. For some reason this endears him to the staff and management; soon he has been promoted into the upper echelons of the company. One day he meets a rather ditzy Metro security guard, Henriette, who is also at sea in the big city. The kindred spirits click and a sweet romance ensues.
