The stooges are greeting card salesmen who are mistakenly inducted into the army after escaping from the jealous husband of one of their customers. In bootcamp their sergeant turns out to be the same man, whom they constantly vex and bewilder. When the boys are sent to the front lines and the sergeant is captured they must rescue him, which they do after doping themselves with laughing gas. At the end they get shot off into the sunset on a cannon shell.

The landing was flawless, and as he stepped off the plane, a beautiful girl approached, asking for a photo. They smiled as the camera clicked, capturing a moment of pride and joy. As he began his journey home in the dream, a sudden sound interrupted him-a doorbell. He blinked awake to find his sister at the door, smiling and saying, "Dinner's ready!" The pilot chuckled, realizing it had all been a dream. But in that brief escape, he had experienced the thrill of his job and a reminder of the simple joys of life. Inspired by The Hedge Theater by Robert Beavers, I took a walk around central park before, during, and after sunrise. This is my attempt at catching the energy of the soundtrack via the images, the energy that inspired this walk, and portraying both those energies in the images and editing.

This film is a series of iconoclastic images he created for the background projections. Dream of the Wild Horses(fr)

The horses in Denys Colomb Daunant’s dream poem are the white beasts of the marshlands of the Camargue in South West France. Daunant was haunted by these creatures. His obsession was first visualized when he wrote the autobiographical script for Albert Lamorisse’s award-winning 1953 film White Mane. In this short the beauty of the horses is captured with a variety of film techniques and by Jacques Lasry’s beautiful electronic score.

The Statue of Giordano Bruno(en)

This film was made out of the capture of a live animation performance presented in Rome in January 2005 by Pierre Hébert and the musician Bob Ostertag. It is based on live action shooting done that same afternoon on the Campo dei Fiori where the philosopher Giordano Bruno was burned by the Inquisition in 1600. A commemorative statue was erected in the 19th century, that somberly dominate the market held everyday on the piazza. The film is about the resurgence of the past in this place where normal daily activities go on imperturbably. The capture of the performance was reworked, shortened and complemented with more studio performances.

Tramuntana takes what it wants—clothes, trees, boats, and the people of the landscape who live with the endless threat of being carried away by its force.
